Inspector – Inspection and Monitoring

About the role

The Inspector – Inspection and Monitoring will support Dubai’s data‑driven enforcement strategy by conducting field inspections of utility works and infrastructure across the Emirate. Working on‑site with digital tools, you will document defects, verify compliance, and provide actionable insights for continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Execute scheduled inspections for utility projects approved via the E‑NOC system, capture photographic evidence and compile snag lists.
• Update smart violation systems and inspection dashboards with field observations, issue fines or warnings through sTafteesh.
• Monitor temporary permits, diversions, vehicle access and illegal occupations, ensuring timely corrective actions.
• Inspect damaged signs, signals, pavements, markings and landscaping, reporting defects in a standardized format.
• Respond to emergencies such as accidents, abandoned vehicles or road hazards, coordinating with police, towing and maintenance teams.
• Conduct reactive inspections based on public complaints and enforce illegal heavy‑vehicle parking regulations.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly inspection reports detailing site conditions, corrective actions and completion percentages.
• Digitise all field data and recommend workflow improvements to enhance data reliability and decision‑making.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of experience in field inspection, utility or infrastructure monitoring.
• Ability to work on‑call during emergencies and in varied weather conditions.
• Strong analytical skills to identify recurring violations and support strategic initiatives.
• Good communication skills for coordination with police, towing services and maintenance authorities.
