Integration Engineer – Building Automation & IoT

About the role

You will connect the digital twin of a building to its physical systems – BMS, CCTV, access control, parking and the MIM platform – ensuring reliable, documented and maintainable integrations.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement integrations with building and security systems using protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, OPC‑UA, MQTT, ONVIF and vendor REST APIs.
• Define data point lists, tag mapping and normalization rules together with the Data Engineer.
• Develop, test and maintain connectors, handling reconnection, buffering and failure scenarios.
• Coordinate directly with third‑party vendors for API access, licensing and point exposure.
• Validate live data end‑to‑end from field devices to the 3D asset model.
• Document interface specifications and support commissioning and user acceptance testing.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience in systems integration for building automation, IoT or industrial platforms.
• Hands‑on experience with at least two of the following: BACnet/IP, OPC‑UA, Modbus, MQTT, ONVIF.
• Strong scripting or development skills in Python, C# or Node.js.
• Solid understanding of network fundamentals, VLANs, firewalls and OT/IT segregation.
• Methodical debugging approach and good documentation habits.
