Interior Design Inspector

About the role

WSP is looking for an experienced Interior Design Inspector to join its UAE project team. You will be responsible for inspecting interior fit‑out and finishing works, ensuring they meet approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards across hospitality, residential, commercial or mixed‑use developments.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect interior fit‑out and finishing works for compliance with drawings, specifications and quality standards.
• Conduct site inspections, monitor workmanship, materials and installation quality.
• Review material submissions, mock‑ups and shop drawings.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants and site teams to resolve issues.
• Identify non‑conformances and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Maintain inspection records, progress reports and assist with snagging, testing, commissioning and handover.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, QA/QC procedures and UAE authority requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Architecture or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in interior design supervision, fit‑out or construction projects.
• UAE experience within a consultancy or supervision environment is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of interior finishes, joinery, FF&E and fit‑out works.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and construction drawings.
