Interior Designer

About the role

We are seeking a creative and detail‑oriented Interior Designer to develop functional, aesthetically appealing interior concepts for residential, commercial, hospitality, retail and fit‑out projects across the UAE. The role involves translating client requirements into design solutions, preparing detailed drawings and presentations, and coordinating with multidisciplinary project teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop creative interior design concepts based on client requirements, project brief, budget, and functionality.
• Prepare space planning, furniture layouts, reflected ceiling plans, flooring layouts, elevations, sections, and detailed interior drawings.
• Create mood boards, material boards, color schemes, furniture selections and design presentations.
• Produce detailed design proposals and 3D visualisations where required.
• Generate accurate drawings using AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max, Revit or other relevant design software.
• Select and specify appropriate materials, finishes, furniture, fixtures, lighting and accessories.
• Coordinate design drawings with architects, MEP engineers, structural consultants, contractors and suppliers.
• Conduct site visits to verify conditions and monitor design implementation.
• Review shop drawings, material samples, mock‑ups and technical submissions for compliance.
• Collaborate with procurement and materials teams regarding finishes, furniture and fixtures.
• Attend client meetings, design presentations, site and coordination meetings.
• Prepare BOQ information, material specifications and design schedules as needed.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, UAE building and authority requirements, and health and safety standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Architecture or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant interior design experience; UAE/GCC experience preferred.
• Experience in interior fit‑out, commercial, residential, hospitality, retail or office projects is an advantage.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and relevant 3D/design software.
• Good knowledge of interior materials, finishes, furniture, lighting and construction methods.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, MEP and construction drawings.
