Internal Medicine Specialist

About the role

The Internal Medicine Specialist provides comprehensive, evidence‑based care to adult patients with acute and chronic conditions in a Dubai‑based hospital or medical centre.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose and manage a wide range of adult medical conditions, both acute and chronic.
• Develop individualized treatment plans, prescribe medications, and monitor responses.
• Order and interpret laboratory, imaging and ECG investigations.
• Provide pre‑operative assessments, coordinate specialist referrals and deliver inpatient and outpatient care.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment options and preventive health measures.
• Maintain accurate medical records, comply with DHA regulations and participate in quality‑improvement activities.

Required profile

• Recognized primary medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) and postgraduate qualification in Internal Medicine meeting DHA requirements.
• Current BLS certification; ACLS where required.
• Strong clinical judgement, communication skills and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
• Fluency in English; Arabic knowledge is an advantage.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (where required)
• Proficiency with electronic medical record systems
• Fluency in English
