About the role
The Echo Technician performs non‑invasive echocardiography procedures using high‑frequency ultrasound to produce detailed images of the heart. This role supports diagnostic and therapeutic services for adult, pediatric or fetal patients in a hospital setting.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare patients and diagnostic equipment for echocardiography procedures and explain the process to patients.
- Assist physicians in interpreting image data and determine which images should be saved.
- Coordinate with the billing team and insurance staff to ensure smooth approval and documentation of procedures.
- Maintain departmental policies, MOH regulations, and quality‑improvement standards.
- Monitor and manage inventory, including tracking expiry dates and updating stock levels in the computerized system.
Required profile
- Bachelor degree in Cardiac Technology (preferred).
- Familiarity with MOH rules and regulations and ability to maintain accurate procedural records.
Required skills
- Operation of ultrasound and echocardiography equipment.
- Image acquisition and basic interpretation for cardiac studies.
