Inventory Management Specialist

About the role

ECS is looking for an Inventory Management Specialist in Dubai to lead the integration between shopping, reshopping and pricing systems with Real-Time Data Processing (RTDP) for inventory management. The role focuses on seamless data flow, real-time inventory adjustments and pricing optimisation to maximise revenue and improve operational efficiency, working closely with IT, Revenue Management and Commercial teams.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee RTDP integration with inventory management systems so that seat inventory and fare class availability update in real time across all booking channels, based on bookings, cancellations and revenue management decisions.
• Work with IT teams to improve integration between RTDP and pricing platforms, ensuring accurate real-time pricing and distribution and minimising data latency.
• Develop dynamic pricing strategies based on real-time data, market analysis and competitor pricing, using Vayant and RTDP capabilities.
• Optimise inventory allocation using historical data, demand forecasts and revenue management insights, and monitor pricing performance and load factors.
• Collaborate with Revenue Management, IT, Commercial and Distribution teams, lead initiatives to improve Vayant and RTDP integration, and provide training and documentation.
• Analyse pricing and inventory system performance, generate reports on fare competitiveness and inventory utilisation, and recommend improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, IT or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in pricing and inventory management, particularly in the airline or travel industry.
• Certifications in pricing, revenue management or API integration preferred.

Required skills

• Hands-on experience with RTDP integration and API-based pricing and inventory system integration.
• Strong understanding of dynamic pricing models, fare distribution and inventory control.
• Data analysis with SQL, Excel and business intelligence tools.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• NDC and IATA standards, and revenue management systems such as Sabre or Amadeus, are good to have.
