Investment Advisor / Portfolio Manager - Wealth Management

About the role

Swisslinx Middle East, representing a prestigious international wealth management and MFO firm based in the DIFC and specialising in private banking and wealth management, is recruiting an Investment Advisor / Portfolio Manager for its growing Dubai office. The role combines client-facing portfolio work with active participation in investment committees and product discussions.

Key responsibilities

• Support Relationship Managers by understanding client needs, objectives and risk profiles, and help prepare investment proposals and presentations
• Design tailored investment strategies and conduct portfolio reviews for discretionary and advisory mandates, monitoring portfolios and suggesting rebalancing or repositioning
• Explain the firm's investment philosophy and strategy, and conduct documented suitability assessments for every recommendation
• Liaise with compliance on regulatory or procedural issues and oversee trade execution with internal and external platforms or custodians
• Keep clients informed about market developments and take part in Investment Committee meetings, contributing ideas and preparing documentation
• Take part in the Fund/Product Committee, proposing new product ideas, analysing funds and presenting products to internal teams and clients

Required profile

• University degree, preferably in Economics, Finance or a related field; CFA, CIIA, CFPI or similar is an advantage
• At least 10 years of professional experience, including at least 5 years in a similar portfolio manager or investment advisor role
• Fluent English (required); French is a strong asset, a third language is an advantage
• Independence, reliability, flexibility, strong interpersonal skills and a strong client-service orientation

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of financial instruments, financial analysis and portfolio construction
• Understanding of the banking and wealth management industry and macroeconomic trends
• Excellent command of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and Bloomberg Terminal
