Investment Banking Specialist – Remote Contractor

About the role

We are engaging experienced Investment Banking Experts to contribute to a customer project focused on improving financial data analysis, modeling, and industry research. The role involves applying real‑world investment banking expertise to train next‑generation AI systems through high‑quality financial analysis and transaction insights.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive company and industry research to support financial analysis and AI training initiatives.
• Perform and review buyer and target screening, comparable company analysis, and detailed Excel‑based financial models.
• Build, update, and troubleshoot valuation and transaction models, ensuring methodological accuracy and logical consistency.
• Prepare and edit client‑facing materials such as pitchbooks and transaction presentations.
• Analyze transaction scenarios, explain accounting treatments, valuation adjustments, and deal sensitivities, and deliver clear written and verbal explanations.

Required profile

• Strong professional experience in investment banking, M&A, industry coverage, or financial advisory with hands‑on involvement in live acquisition or sale processes.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel‑based financial modeling and a solid understanding of valuation methodologies, comparable company analysis, and transaction analysis.
• Experience conducting company and industry research, target screening, and preparing/reviewing pitchbooks and client‑facing transaction materials.
• Excellent analytical review, problem‑solving abilities, and attention to detail to identify quantitative inaccuracies and weak strategic assumptions.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for delivering complex financial concepts to diverse audiences.
