Islamic Studies Teacher – Cycle 2 Charter School (AY 25‑26)

About the role

The school is seeking an enthusiastic Islamic Studies Teacher for the Mubarak Bin Mohammed Cycle 2 Charter School for the academic year 2025‑2026. You will be responsible for delivering high‑quality lessons that inspire students to achieve their best outcomes while fostering a positive learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging Islamic Studies lessons that meet curriculum requirements and cater to the full ability range.
• Assess, record and analyse student progress using the Target Tracker and provide constructive feedback to parents.
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school’s policy, promoting self‑control and independence.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers, curriculum support staff and external specialists such as speech‑language therapists.
• Engage with parents and carers to support pupils’ academic and personal development.
• Participate in curriculum action groups, school events and run a weekly extracurricular activity each term.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Islamic Studies or a related subject with a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Minimum of 1‑2 years of teaching experience, preferably with learners for whom English is not the first language.
• Strong communication, teamwork and relationship‑building skills.
• Commitment to the well‑being of children and a professional, solution‑focused attitude.
• Clean enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) or police check.
