Islamic Teacher (Full-Time)

About the role

GEMS Education is looking for passionate and qualified Islamic Studies teachers, both native and non‑native speakers, to join its Abu Dhabi school. The successful candidate will deliver engaging lessons that promote Arabic language proficiency and Islamic values across multiple grade levels.

Key responsibilities

• Teach Islamic Studies using the UAE Ministry of Education‑approved curriculum, adapted for native or non‑native speakers.
• Create an inclusive, culturally respectful classroom environment.
• Design and implement differentiated instructional strategies to meet diverse language and religious backgrounds.
• Assess student progress regularly and provide feedback to students and parents.
• Participate in school events, Islamic celebrations, and Arabic language activities.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Islamic Studies or a related field.
• Recognized teaching qualification/license as required by UAE regulations.
• Experience teaching native or non‑native Arabic speakers is preferred.
• Minimum IELTS score of 6.
• Strong understanding of the UAE Ministry of Education curriculum.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
