About the role
The World Food Programme (WFP) is seeking an IT Emergency Coordinator on a roster basis. This 11‑month international consultant position is remote‑based in Dubai, UAE, and supports the IT Emergency Preparedness and Response Branch within the Technology Division.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate and maintain communication services for emergency operations.
- Manage emergency telecommunications systems to ensure reliable connectivity during crises.
- Deliver digital assistance tools and support to field teams and partners.
- Collaborate with WFP’s humanitarian teams to align IT solutions with emergency response needs.
Required profile
- At least 96 months (8 years) of relevant experience in IT emergency coordination or similar roles.
- Proven ability to work remotely and across multicultural environments.
- Strong understanding of humanitarian contexts and emergency response frameworks.
