IT Network Specialist

About the role

We are looking for an IT Network Specialist to design, deploy and maintain our network infrastructure in Abu Dhabi. The role ensures reliable, secure and scalable connectivity for the organization’s advanced technology projects.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy, configure and manage routers, switches, firewalls and wireless access points.
• Implement and maintain network security protocols, including IPSEC, SSL and PKI.
• Monitor network performance and availability using management tools.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network incidents to minimise downtime.
• Perform regular hardware and software updates and maintain asset inventory.
• Lead network‑related projects from planning through execution.
• Collaborate with IT support, other departments and vendors.
• Document configurations, processes and procedures.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in network security administration.
• At least 3 years in a network management role for a mid‑sized organization.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or related field.
• Relevant certifications such as CCNA or CCNP preferred.
• Strong knowledge of NIST 800‑53, CNSSI 1253 and data classification.

Required skills

• Configuration and management of routers, switches, firewalls and wireless APs.
• Network Access Control (NAC) and network monitoring tools.
• Understanding of IPSEC, SSL, PKI and least‑privilege access concepts.
• Familiarity with NIST 800‑53 and CNSSI 1253 security frameworks.
• Scripting for network automation (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
