Principal Maintenance Manager

About the role

The Principal Maintenance Manager is a senior technical leadership role overseeing the maintenance, reliability, and operational readiness of advanced radar and EW systems. You’ll lead specialized engineering and technical teams, drive preventive maintenance and root‑cause analysis, and oversee system upgrades, integration, and calibration.

Key responsibilities

• Strategic Planning: Develop long‑term reliability programs and preventive maintenance schedules to maximize radar uptime and minimize unexpected operational downtime.
• Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and mentor a team of engineers, technicians, and mechanics specialized in microwave, RF, and digital signal processing systems.
• Budget Management: Oversee departmental budgets, forecast CapEx for major hardware upgrades, and manage supplier or vendor contracts for specialized radar components.
• Technical Oversight: Direct root‑cause failure analyses to quickly troubleshoot hardware, software, or calibration anomalies and restore operational status.
• Compliance & Safety: Enforce rigorous safety regulations, defense standards (e.g., MIL‑STD), and quality control protocols for high‑voltage and RF radiation zones.
• Systems Integration: Coordinate the installation, testing, and calibration of new radar installations and legacy upgrades.

Required profile

• Fluent in Arabic.
• Minimum 10–15 years of experience in maintenance and deployment of radar or EW systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering or related field (Master’s or PhD advantageous).
• Strong knowledge of RF principles and radar theory, including phased‑array and AESA technology.
• Experience with military, civilian or aviation radar and communication systems.
