IT Systems Engineer MENA 6-month Part-time

About the role

Brain Co., an applied AI startup, is looking for an IT Systems Engineer to manage its corporate technology layer for a 6‑month part‑time engagement. You will own identity and access management, device security and SaaS tooling, ensuring the fast‑growing team operates securely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the Okta environment, consolidate SSO, handle migrations, provisioning, lifecycle automation and federation.
• Implement a three‑tier access entitlement model and automate HR‑triggered provisioning and off‑boarding.
• Support SOC 2 compliance, access review programs and contribute to Zero Trust and endpoint security initiatives (EDR, MDM, device trust).
• Maintain SaaS hygiene across the tooling estate, including shadow‑IT discovery, configuration hardening and data classification.
• Build integrations and automation linking identity, HRIS and SaaS tools to eliminate manual IT work.
• Own the end‑to‑end access request process, runbooks, documentation and self‑service resources.
• Provide first‑line IT support for a 70+ person team, triaging hardware and software issues.

Required profile

• Proven experience in corporate IT engineering or security operations.
• Hands‑on experience with identity and access management platforms, preferably Okta.
• Familiarity with SOC 2, Zero Trust principles and endpoint security solutions.
• Ability to design and implement automation for provisioning and SaaS management.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and a pragmatic approach to supporting end users.
