Junior Accountant (Temporary)

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Accountant to join our Finance & Accounts team on a temporary basis. Reporting to the Chief Accountant, you will help maintain accurate financial records, process daily transactions, and support timely reporting and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Record daily financial transactions in the accounting system (AP, AR, GL).
• Assist with invoice preparation, billing, and follow‑up on customer payments.
• Perform basic reconciliation tasks such as bank, supplier and customer account reconciliations.
• Maintain organized records and documentation for audits and compliance.
• Prepare journal entries and support monthly closing activities.
• Support VAT documentation and compliance requirements.
• Coordinate with other departments to collect and verify financial data.
• Manage petty cash records and staff expense claims.
• Perform ad‑hoc finance tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• At least 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or project‑based environment.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Familiarity with UAE VAT compliance is a plus.
• Accurate data‑entry and basic reconciliation skills.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to system‑based processes.

• Microsoft Dynamics 365 (preferred accounting software).
• Microsoft Excel.
