Junior Sous Chef – Dahlia

About the role
We are looking for a motivated Junior Sous Chef to join the Dahlia restaurant at Sofitel Dubai Downtown. Reporting to the Executive Chef, you will support daily kitchen operations in a luxury 5‑star hotel environment.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in menu planning and development of new dishes while maintaining recipe documentation.
- Manage inventory control, ordering, and minimize waste.
- Supervise kitchen staff, including scheduling, task assignment, and training.
- Oversee food production to ensure quality, portion control, and cost standards.
- Coordinate with front‑of‑house teams to ensure smooth service flow.
Required profile
- Culinary degree or equivalent qualification.
- Specialisation in Italian cuisine.
- Minimum 3 years experience in a professional kitchen, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead cook role.
- Experience in high‑end restaurants or luxury hotels is preferred.
