Junior Sous Chef – Employee Canteen

About the role

We are seeking a Junior Sous Chef to support the daily operations of our Employee Restaurant at InterContinental Ras Al Khaimah Mina Al Arab Resort & Spa. The role ensures that our staff enjoy fresh, nutritious, and well‑prepared meals while maintaining high standards of hygiene and food safety.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily preparation and service of meals for colleagues.
• Assist in menu planning to create balanced, appealing options.
• Lead and guide the culinary team during service.
• Ensure timely food preparation, consistent quality, and correct portion sizes.
• Monitor food usage, waste, and portion control to manage costs.
• Manage food requisitions, stock levels, and proper storage of ingredients.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness, hygiene, and food‑safety standards.
• Support training, coaching, and development of culinary staff.
• Collaborate with culinary leadership to continuously improve the employee dining experience.
