Kindergarten Teacher – Full‑Time

About the role

The American Community School of Abu Dhabi is seeking a passionate Kindergarten Teacher to join its early childhood team. You will create a safe, engaging environment where young learners develop foundational academic and social skills.

Key responsibilities

• Teach basic concepts such as colors, shapes, numbers, letters, personal hygiene, and social interaction.
• Establish and enforce classroom rules and procedures to maintain order.
• Observe, assess, and record children’s performance, behavior, and health.
• Deliver instruction individually and in groups, adapting methods to diverse needs and interests.
• Read aloud to whole classes or small groups and demonstrate activities.
• Provide varied materials for exploration, imaginative play, and learning.
• Collaborate with parents, teachers, counselors, and administrators to address behavioral and academic concerns.
• Set clear lesson objectives and communicate them to students.
• Organise games, arts‑and‑crafts, music, storytelling and other activities that promote physical, mental and social development.
• Identify children showing emotional, developmental or health issues and refer them to appropriate specialists.
• Prepare classrooms and outdoor spaces for safe, creative play and motor‑skill activities.
• Work with colleagues to develop, evaluate and revise the kindergarten curriculum.
• Design, administer and grade assessments to monitor progress.
• Engage parent volunteers and older students in classroom activities.

Required profile

• Willingness to relocate to Abu Dhabi.
• Kindergarten teaching experience preferred.
