Kitchen and Laundry Technician

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Kitchen and Laundry Technician to join the Rixos Al Mairid team in Ras Al‑Khaimah. You will ensure the cleanliness, functionality and safety of both kitchen and laundry areas, supporting smooth daily operations in a luxury hotel environment.

Key responsibilities

• Operate, clean and maintain kitchen and laundry equipment such as dishwashers, cooking appliances, washing machines and dryers.
• Perform daily cleaning and sanitising of all kitchen and laundry zones according to established schedules.
• Monitor cleaning‑supply inventory and report shortages to the supervisor.
• Assist in the proper storage and organisation of utensils, linens and other supplies.
• Conduct routine equipment inspections and report any malfunctions or maintenance needs.
• Collaborate with kitchen and housekeeping teams to ensure efficient workflow and timely task completion.
• Adhere to all health, safety and hygiene regulations.
• Help train new team members on equipment operation and cleaning procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities, equipment maintenance and inventory.

Required profile

• Proficiency in operating various kitchen and laundry equipment.
• Strong knowledge of cleaning and sanitising procedures.
• Basic maintenance and troubleshooting skills for equipment.
• Excellent time‑management and multitasking abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness standards.
• Physical stamina for standing, walking and lifting for extended periods.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Food‑safety certification preferred.
• Previous experience in hospitality or healthcare kitchen/laundry operations is a plus.
• Familiarity with UAE health and safety regulations is beneficial.
