About the role
The Kitchen Steward ensures that the kitchen environment remains clean, organized, and safe for food preparation. Working closely with the culinary team, you will support daily operations by maintaining hygiene standards and assisting with basic kitchen tasks.
Key responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize all kitchen utensils, equipment, and surfaces according to health regulations.
- Assist in receiving, storing, and rotating food supplies.
- Dispose of waste and recycling in the correct manner.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines at all times.
- Provide support to kitchen staff as needed, including basic food prep assistance.
Required profile
- Proven experience in a similar kitchen steward or cleaning role.
- Strong physical stamina and ability to stand for long periods.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
Required skills
- Knowledge of sanitation and cleaning procedures.
- Ability to handle cleaning chemicals safely.
