KYC Analyst – Personal Banking Onboarding

About the role

The Analyst – KYC and Onboarding will support the Personal Banking division by reviewing and approving client KYC files during onboarding, trigger events and periodic reviews. You will ensure all documentation meets FAB policies, UAE Central Bank regulations and global CDD standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform day‑to‑day KYC maker activities, reviewing files for completeness and readiness for final approval.
• Conduct end‑to‑end KYC due diligence for new clients, trigger events and periodic reviews.
• Verify account opening forms and perform name‑screening, adverse media checks and sanctions screening.
• Review AML and sanctions questionnaires and complete Customer Risk Assessments where required.
• Escalate name‑screening hits to compliance and fraud teams.
• Maintain a book of work to ensure high‑risk entity files are processed on time.
• Support AVP/VP KYC on process issues and provide training to offshore teams as needed.
• Ensure adherence to internal policies, UAE Central Bank regulations and FAB procedures at all times.

Required profile

• Experience in KYC, AML/CTF and sanctions compliance within a banking environment.
• Familiarity with UAE Central Bank regulatory expectations and FAB’s CDD standards.
• Ability to assess and mitigate AML, CTF and sanctions risks.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage high‑risk client files.
