Lead Architect – Special Projects

About the role

Azizi is seeking a Lead Architect for Special Projects to lead architectural design development and delivery for high‑profile developments such as Azizi Opera. The role is based at the Design Studio in Al Hudaiba, Dubai and reports to the Head of Special Projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the architectural design team across all design stages, providing direction and technical guidance.
• Oversee design development from concept through detailed design, ensuring alignment with project vision and functional requirements.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary efforts with Structures, MEP, Interior Design, Landscape and external consultants to resolve technical interface issues.
• Review and approve drawings, models, specifications and technical submissions for accuracy, quality and compliance.
• Monitor design schedules, resource allocation and risks, ensuring timely delivery of design deliverables.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture.
• 12–15 years of architectural design and design management experience, preferably on landmark or culturally significant projects.
• Proven experience leading design teams and delivering projects through multiple design stages.
• Experience with iconic venues such as opera houses, theatres or concert halls is a strong advantage.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Revit.
• Advanced proficiency in Rhino.
