Project Engineer – Fit‑Out Manufacturing

About the role

The Project Engineer will manage and supervise day‑to‑day fit‑out activities across project sites, ensuring that all works are executed in line with approved drawings, specifications and schedules. The role requires close coordination with consultants, architects, interior designers, subcontractors and internal teams to deliver high‑quality interior fit‑out projects.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise fit‑out works such as partitions, ceilings, flooring, wall finishes, painting, joinery, doors, ironmongery and decorative finishes.
• Review and approve shop drawings, material submittals, samples, method statements and RFIs.
• Monitor site progress against schedules, provide updates to the Project Manager and ensure proper sequencing of activities.
• Coordinate with the joinery/factory team for bespoke furniture, cabinetry and other manufactured elements.
• Inspect completed works for compliance with drawings, specifications, quality standards and HSE requirements.
• Prepare project reports, progress updates, material status reports and technical documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Interior Design or a related discipline.
• 5–8 years of experience in fit‑out, interior construction or related projects, preferably in high‑rise residential, hospitality or commercial sectors.
• Strong knowledge of interior fit‑out works, QA/QC procedures and HSE regulations.
• Experience coordinating architectural, interior design, MEP and structural works.
• UAE/GCC experience and a UAE driving licence are advantageous.
