Lead Azure DevOps Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Lead Azure DevOps Engineer to join our team in Abu Dhabi on a hybrid basis. You will act as the senior hands‑on architect for Azure‑based AI and application workloads, driving platform design, deployment automation, and security governance.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and govern Azure infrastructure for enterprise AI solutions across DEV, TEST, UAT and PROD environments.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and/or GitHub Actions.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code with Terraform (or Bicep) and manage containerized workloads on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
• Own Azure networking, including VNets, subnets, Private Endpoints, DNS, routing, firewalls and integration with corporate networks.
• Implement identity and access management via Microsoft Entra ID, Managed Identities, Service Principals and Azure RBAC.
• Manage secrets, certificates and credentials with Azure Key Vault.
• Set up monitoring, logging and alerting using Azure Monitor, Application Insights and Log Analytics.
• Apply DevSecOps controls, vulnerability scanning and security automation.
• Define release, rollback, backup, disaster‑recovery and production‑support procedures.
• Provide technical leadership, standards and mentorship for the DevOps team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics or a related field.
• Proven experience designing, building and supporting production‑grade, enterprise‑scale Azure platforms.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities to work directly with enterprise clients, cybersecurity teams and Microsoft partners.

• Microsoft Azure services (AKS, VNets, Private Endpoints, DNS, firewalls, Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics).
• Azure DevOps pipelines and GitHub Actions.
• Infrastructure as Code – Terraform and/or Bicep.
• Container orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Identity & access management – Microsoft Entra ID, Managed Identities, Service Principals, Azure RBAC.
• Secrets management – Azure Key Vault.
• Linux administration and automation scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
