Lead Construction Site – Brownfield

About the role

Wood is seeking an experienced Lead Construction Site professional to drive brownfield project delivery in Abu Dhabi. You will lead the construction team, champion safety, and ensure seamless execution of complex oil & gas projects while coordinating with contractors, ADNOC, and internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Project Construction team to achieve project objectives and safety goals.
• Manage construction planning, development, and operations for on‑site execution.
• Oversee contractor and subcontractor compliance with safety policies and integrated safety plans.
• Coordinate with ADNOC to minimise production disruption during brownfield works.
• Ensure detailed design supports constructability and report progress to the Project Team.
• Mentor and train UAE nationals in construction management.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering (or equivalent); Master’s degree in management is a plus.
• 20+ years of construction management experience in the oil & gas sector on major projects.
• Proven experience managing global contractors, suppliers, and technical staff.
• Ability to make independent decisions and solve complex problems.
