Lead Design Engineer – Civil & Structural

About the role

Rejlers International Engineering Solutions is seeking a Lead Design Engineer for Civil & Structural to head the discipline, execute projects and support bids in Abu Dhabi. The role involves overseeing design from FEED verification through execution, ensuring safety, quality, budget and schedule compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and supervise civil/structural design activities, coordinating with project managers and clients.
• Maintain daily diaries, progress reports, and resource planning for the discipline.
• Review all drawings, design proposals, method statements and RFIs for technical correctness.
• Chair regular team meetings, manage correspondence and approvals, and ensure safety procedures are implemented on site.
• Participate in estimation for sales enquiries and provide support for bidding processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering with at least 15 years of Oil & Gas experience.
• Minimum 8 years in a lead engineering role, demonstrating strong leadership, coordination and analytical skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English, with strong interpersonal abilities.
• Willingness to conduct extensive site surveys and work under project pressure.
• UAE visa eligibility and local experience considered an advantage.
