Deputy Head of Civil & Structural Discipline

About the role

Rejlers Abu Dhabi is seeking a Deputy Head of Discipline for Civil & Structural engineering to support project execution and bid preparation across the UAE. Reporting to the Head of Discipline, you will help shape strategic direction and ensure high‑quality deliverables.

Key responsibilities

• Deputize for the Head of Discipline, managing all aspects of the civil and structural engineering discipline and leading the team in their absence.
• Support project execution, resource allocation, health & safety, and budget management to meet schedule, specification, quality, and cost targets.
• Act as Lead Engineer on projects, solving technical problems and coordinating with project engineering managers.
• Develop and implement improvement plans, quality assurance measures, and operational strategies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with at least 18 years of Oil & Gas experience and 5 years in a management role.
• Strong communication, leadership, and analytical skills; ability to work under pressure and drive team performance.
• Physical and mental fitness to perform on‑site duties.

Required skills

• Proficiency with civil and structural software: STAAD Pro, RAM Connections, Mat3D, Foundation 3D, SAP, ANSYS.
• Experience using Excel (programming skills a plus), AutoCAD, MicroStation, and 3D modelling tools.
• Knowledge of ADNOC specifications and international codes such as BS, Eurocodes, ACI, ASCE, AISC, API.
