Lead Electrical Design Engineer

About the role

Rejlers International Engineering Solutions is seeking a Lead Electrical Design Engineer to oversee engineering design review and analysis for major oil & gas projects in Abu Dhabi. The role involves leading multiple local and international projects, preparing electrical engineering documents and drawings, and ensuring compliance with client and industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Support process‑industry project design, verify source data and concept drawings, and prepare the Engineering Document Deliverable Register (EDDR).
• Produce electrical design deliverables using MS‑Office, SmartPlant Electrical (SPEL), AutoCAD, MicroStation, ETAP, cable sizing tools, and lighting calculations (DiaLux).
• Review vendor documents, prepare procurement RFQs, and ensure design outputs meet client approvals and ADNOC standards.
• Coordinate inter‑discipline submissions, participate in E‑HAZOP/HAZID, FAT/SAT, commissioning, and prepare as‑built documentation.

Required profile

• Engineering graduate (BSc or MSc) with 15+ years of electrical engineering experience in oil & gas, petrochemical or chemical sectors.
• Minimum 8 years in a senior role, experience in FEED and EPC projects, and familiarity with ADNOC on‑shore requirements.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, fluent in English; Arabic is a plus.

• Relay setting and coordination, CT sizing, OHL, GIS, EHT, CP, OLCMS, IPCS, VSD.
• Knowledge of ADNOC standards, IEC, BS codes.
