Lead Electrical Engineer – Mission Critical Data Centres

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Lead Electrical Engineer to join our Global Data Centre Design Team (Mission Critical) in the UAE. This senior leadership position will drive the electrical design of cutting‑edge AI and hyperscale data centre projects worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Lead electrical design for mission‑critical facilities, including MV/LV power distribution, UPS, standby generation, lighting, earthing and lightning protection.
• Perform load assessments, redundancy strategy planning, fault and discrimination studies, and resilience planning for high‑availability sites.
• Coordinate with mechanical, structural, ICT, security and other disciplines to deliver integrated, clash‑free designs.
• Mentor junior engineers, oversee project budgets, deliverables and programmes, and ensure compliance with contractual and quality requirements.
• Maintain direct client engagement, present solutions and provide proactive technical input throughout project phases.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s or Chartered Engineer preferred).
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, with at least 3 years on mission‑critical or data‑centre projects.
• Proven expertise in MV/LV distribution, UPS and generator systems, and advanced redundancy schemes.
• Strong understanding of cooling integration, ICT systems and commissioning in high‑availability environments.
• Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder‑management skills.
