Lead Engineer – Electrical, Instrumentation & Telecom

About the role

Penspen is seeking a Lead Engineer to head the Electrical, Instrumentation and Telecom (E&I) discipline for a major PMC project in Abu Dhabi. The role involves overseeing design, specifications and site execution, ensuring all deliverables meet international standards and project requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the E&I design team through FEED and detailed engineering phases.
• Develop and review technical specifications, drawings and procurement packages.
• Ensure compliance with IEC and IEEE standards across all electrical, instrumentation and telecom systems.
• Coordinate site activities, supervise installation, testing and commissioning.
• Provide technical guidance to multidisciplinary teams and resolve engineering issues.

Required profile

• Engineering degree in Electrical, Instrumentation or Telecommunications.
• Minimum 18 years of experience, with at least 10 years on large‑scale oil and gas processing projects in the GCC.
• Proven experience managing E&I disciplines on FEED and detailed design.
• Prior experience with ADNOC projects is an advantage.
