Lead Instrumentation and Control Engineer

About the role

Wood is seeking a Lead Instrumentation and Control Engineer for the ADNOC Offshore US LTDP project in Abu Dhabi. The role provides technical expertise for all instrumentation design activities, ensuring compliance with ADNOC standards and international codes while coordinating with EPC contractors and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the instrumentation design and engineering effort, guaranteeing compliance with relevant codes and ADNOC specifications.
• Coordinate and monitor EPC contractor deliverables, reviewing and approving their instrumentation engineering work.
• Conduct regular technical reviews of design documents, models, and layouts to maintain quality and integrity.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineers, IPMT, and ADNOC operations to resolve technical issues.
• Participate in equipment sizing, selection, and optimization studies.
• Support installation, pre‑commissioning and commissioning phases with technical assistance.

Required profile

• Extensive experience (15+ years) in instrumentation engineering within oil & gas or offshore projects.
• Strong knowledge of international codes, standards, and ADNOC engineering requirements.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage EPC contractor interactions.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
