Lead Mechanical Engineer – HVAC (Greenfield Projects)

About the role

The Lead Mechanical Engineer – HVAC will head all HVAC engineering activities for ADNOC offshore greenfield projects, covering concept through start‑up phases. The role is based in Abu Dhabi and involves delivering safe, energy‑efficient HVAC and pressurisation systems for offshore facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage HVAC engineering for offshore oil & gas projects, supervising engineers and designers.
• Develop design basis, philosophy, specifications and perform calculations (cooling, heating, ventilation, pressurisation, equipment sizing).
• Design and review HVAC systems for control rooms, substations, telecom rooms, living quarters, process buildings and more.
• Review and approve layout drawings, duct routing, air distribution diagrams, equipment arrangement and material datasheets.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (process, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, civil, structural, HSE) and participate in engineering, constructability and project meetings.
• Ensure compliance with ADNOC offshore standards, international codes, safety regulations and project objectives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in HVAC engineering for offshore oil and gas projects.
• Strong knowledge of international engineering codes and offshore environmental and safety requirements.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and mentor junior engineers.
