Mechanical Inspector – Building Construction

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented and analytical Mechanical Inspector to join our team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The role involves conducting comprehensive mechanical inspections on building construction projects to ensure compliance with specifications, building codes, and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct thorough mechanical inspections on building construction projects, including HVAC, plumbing, and related installations.
• Verify that all mechanical work complies with approved drawings, specifications, and applicable building codes and regulations.
• Document inspection results with detailed reports, photographic evidence, and recommendations.
• Communicate findings to project managers, contractors, and stakeholders and coordinate timely remediation and re‑inspection.
• Maintain organized inspection records, logs, and documentation for each project.
• Perform quality assurance checks to ensure mechanical systems function properly before handover.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in mechanical inspection or quality assurance on building construction projects.
• Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Comprehensive knowledge of mechanical systems such as HVAC, plumbing, and related building services.
• Strong understanding of UAE building codes, mechanical standards, and construction regulations.
• Proficiency in reading technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.

Required skills

• Mechanical inspection of HVAC and plumbing systems.
• Use of inspection tools (pressure gauges, thermometers, multimeters).
• Interpretation of technical drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of UAE building codes and mechanical standards.
• Familiarity with construction management software and digital documentation.
