Lead Operations Engineer

About the role

Wood is seeking a Lead Operations Engineer to join its Dubai team, supporting critical oil and gas projects across the MEAC region. The role involves overseeing operations and maintenance activities, ensuring project quality, and travelling up to 50% of the time.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver operations & maintenance (O&M) and contractor outputs in line with project requirements.
• Supervise small projects or specific disciplines on larger projects.
• Provide leadership in health, safety, and environmental compliance.
• Execute work to meet quality standards, testing, troubleshooting and assurance procedures.
• Guide technical teams in resolving operational challenges.

Required profile

• Strong technical expertise in O&M activities for upstream and midstream oil & gas assets.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage complex assemblies.
• Experience with quality assurance, testing and troubleshooting in an engineering environment.
• Willingness to travel extensively across the MEAC region.
