Lead Product Service Engineer - Controls Platform HMI & Network

About the role

The Lead Product Service Engineer – Controls Platform HMI & Network provides direct technical support to global GE Vernova Gas Power customers. The role covers resolving technical inquiries, leading complex investigations on power‑plant control systems and communicating guidance to customers and internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Own technical resolution of complex controls system issues, including Mark VI/VIe product line, HMI platforms, industrial communication interfaces (Modbus, Foundation Fieldbus, OPC, Profibus, CAN bus, EGD), historians and industrial cyber security at power plants.
• Identify trending issues, develop counter‑measures and communicate alerts to relevant audiences such as TILs, PSxBs and OnTheGo.
• Collaborate with design engineering, product management, regional customer engineering centers, manufacturing, sourcing, vendors and customers to deliver timely solutions.
• Drive root‑cause analyses and corrective actions for high‑impact problems, communicating findings internally and to end‑customers.
• Promote GE Vernova Way traits, lean principles and simplification in daily activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering and at least 5 years of experience with HMI platforms, industrial communication interfaces, historians and industrial cyber security in power‑plant environments.
• Proven customer‑facing experience with strong oral and written English communication skills.
• Willingness to travel 10‑15 % regionally and internationally.
• Self‑starter, resourceful problem‑solver able to navigate GE Vernova resources and handle uncomfortable technical challenges under pressure.
• Ability to communicate effectively with field engineers, site engineers, plant managers and senior leadership.
• Industry certifications such as GICSP, CCNP or ISA/IEC 62443 are a plus.
