Lead Quality Assurance Engineer

About the role

Emirates is seeking a Lead Quality Assurance Engineer to shape and drive quality engineering practices across its agile release trains. You will work within a high‑performing IT team, ensuring that software products meet the highest standards of reliability and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with product owners, architects, and engineers to translate functional and non‑functional requirements into robust end‑to‑end test scenarios.
• Coordinate testing of cross‑team dependencies and ensure test tools are correctly configured for metric collection.
• Guide software engineers in creating and maintaining automated functional tests within a continuous integration pipeline.
• Design, implement, and evolve automation frameworks and test harnesses to support scalable testing.
• Monitor and enforce quality gate criteria, supporting major delivery initiatives across multiple domains.
• Mentor the team on testing best practices, tools, and processes.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in quality engineering, building complex and scalable software solutions.
• Proven experience leading or coordinating QA activities in digital, data, or enterprise environments.
