Lead Technician

About the role

The Lead Technician will direct technical activities on the shop floor, ensuring compliance with quality standards and driving continuous improvement for metallic engine component production.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily operations of a team of technicians handling turbine blades, housings, ducts, liners and other engine support structures.
• Provide hands‑on support for assembly, disassembly, machining and inspection of engine hardware.
• Train and mentor junior technicians on safety protocols, SOPs and best practices.
• Prepare and maintain inspection reports, non‑conformance reports and build logs.
• Support root‑cause investigations and implement corrective actions for component defects or process deviations.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment in line with OSHA, company EHS policies and hazardous material handling procedures.
• Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to identify inefficiencies and suggest process improvements.
• Assist in developing and revising work instructions and tooling to boost safety, quality and throughput.

Required profile

• Degree or certification in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Precision or Aerospace Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience with precision metallic aerospace or industrial engine components.
• Experience working on aerospace projects or similar scope.
• Familiarity with engine component handling is an advantage.
