Learning & Development Consultant – Retail

About the role

The L&D Consultant will drive capability across Al Futtaim Retail by nurturing facilitators, managers and delivery partners, creating innovative learning architectures that support commercial goals.

Key responsibilities

• Develop facilitators, managers, and delivery partners to enhance scaled learning impacts.
• Embed a strong culture of coaching, accountability, and consistent performance standards.
• Design strategic outcome‑driven learning architectures tailored to diverse business contexts, integrating commercial relevance and innovative solutions.
• Implement simulations, board games, digital learning journeys, and team development events.
• Translate business needs into brand‑specific learning interventions from diagnosis to instructional design.
• Drive creative learning engagement campaigns with visual, digital, and design tools to enhance learner experience.
• Build stakeholder networks and relationships using consultative engagement and visual storytelling to influence decisions.
• Oversee delivery across programs, ensuring facilitation standards, disciplined execution, and sustained engagement beyond the classroom.
• Utilize data reporting tools to generate insights for decision‑making, program enhancement, and communication.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in Learning and Development or related fields.
• Proven experience designing and implementing experiential learning solutions such as simulations and digital games.
• Strong understanding of retail industry commercial and operational requirements.

Required skills

• Instructional design and content development expertise.
• Ability to build strong stakeholder relationships and networks.
• Data‑driven insight generation using Excel and other tools.
• Proficiency in digital design tools such as Canva, Illustrator, and Vyond.
