Licensed Aircraft Engineer - G6000

About the role

Saab is hiring a Licensed Aircraft Engineer in Abu Dhabi to perform scheduled and unscheduled line and base maintenance on the Global 6000 aircraft, along with component maintenance, training and logistics duties. The role calls for flexibility, technical expertise and a strong customer focus.

Key responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, inspect, repair and maintain aircraft, engines, avionics, electrical systems and ground support equipment.
• Perform defect rectification efficiently and effectively.
• Carry out specialist assignments such as flight line and base maintenance, aircraft repairs, training, refueling, marshalling and pre-flight and post-flight checks.
• Complete acceptance inspections on components and equipment and assist with parts inventory management.
• Keep all maintenance records and logbooks accurate and up to date.

Required profile

• Current B1 EASA Part 66 license with at least one type endorsement.
• A B2 license and a type rating on the Bombardier Global G6000 (BD700) are highly desirable but not required.
• Extensive experience in maintenance procedures and inspections, with a good grasp of technical reference materials such as maintenance manuals, IPCs, service bulletins, structural repair manuals, engineering drawings and airworthiness notes.
• Fluent written and spoken English and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and share knowledge with colleagues and customers.
• Curious, adaptable and customer-focused.
• Eligibility for security clearance and approval through a security vetting process.

Required skills

• Proficiency in computer-based maintenance systems.
• Experience producing quality work to military and/or civil aviation standards.
