Lifeguard – Hotel Pool & Beach

About the role

The Lifeguard ensures the safety and security of guests and staff in the hotel’s swimming pool and beach areas. Working within posted business hours, you will monitor water activities, respond to emergencies, and maintain all safety equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise guests and employees in designated swimming zones (pool and beach) during business hours.
• Maintain and operate rescue equipment, including life‑saving floats, rescue surfboards, and a rescue boat.
• Monitor and control water‑sports activities such as windsurfing, sailing boats, and sea bikes, ensuring they stay within designated areas.
• Respond promptly to any emergency, providing CPR, first aid, or artificial respiration as needed.
• Set up safety signage, flags, and information boards (depth, temperature, wind conditions) before each shift.
• Log and track the use of water‑sports equipment and crew numbers.
• Report and rectify any hazards immediately, following hotel safety policies.

Required profile

• Valid, active Lifeguard certification from a recognized international association.
• Current CPR and First Aid certifications.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Strong observational skills and the capacity to act quickly in emergencies.
