Load Planner

About the role

The Load Planner is responsible for producing accurate weight and balance documentation for all Etihad flights. Working closely with multiple stakeholders, the role ensures regulatory compliance and operational excellence throughout the flight preparation process.

Key responsibilities

• Plan load for various aircraft types in line with company and airline weight‑and‑balance requirements.
• Create flight records, calculate estimated zero‑fuel weight, and produce Loading Instruction Reports (LIR) and load‑trim sheets.
• Optimize payload and fuel uplift by selecting appropriate ULD configurations and load distribution to meet CG targets.
• Verify that all weight‑and‑balance requirements are satisfied before issuing documentation.
• Provide timely weight information to flight crew, dispatch, and other airlines.
• Coordinate with turnaround, cargo handling, ramp, and passenger services teams.
• Generate and transmit post‑flight messages such as CPM, LDM, and UCM.
• Report hazards and incidents, escalating risks as needed.

Required profile

• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with high attention to detail.
• Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Secondary school education minimum.
• At least 2 years of experience in a customer‑service role, preferably with load‑planning experience or relevant training.
