Logistics Manager – Construction Plant & Equipment

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to oversee the allocation, mobilisation and demobilisation of construction plant, heavy equipment, vehicles and generators across multiple sites in Abu Dhabi. The role ensures timely availability and optimal utilisation of resources while maintaining high standards of safety and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage allocation, mobilisation and demobilisation of construction plant, heavy equipment, vehicles and generators across project sites.
• Coordinate equipment requirements with Project, Construction and Plant teams to ensure timely availability.
• Oversee inspection, servicing, preventive maintenance and repair of equipment to minimise downtime.
• Monitor utilisation, maintenance schedules, operating costs and fleet performance, implementing improvements.
• Handle equipment transfers, transportation, permits and logistics in line with project schedules.
• Lead plant operators, drivers and logistics personnel, planning and deploying resources effectively.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Workshop, HSE and Project teams on equipment needs and maintenance planning.
• Maintain equipment records, maintenance histories, inspection reports and statutory documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering or related field.
• 10–15 years of experience managing plant and logistics operations in a main contracting environment.
• Proven GCC/UAE experience in building, infrastructure or civil construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of equipment transportation, statutory requirements and maintenance planning.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office for operational reporting and planning.
• Experience with ERP, fleet management or plant management systems.
