Procurement Controller – Cabin & IFE (Procurement & Retrofits)

About the role

As Procurement Controller you will control the purchasing of aircraft spares, Buyer Furnished Equipment (BFE), tools, consumables and retrofit materials required by Engineering. The role supports the business in maintaining aircraft dispatch reliability, optimising costs and ensuring timely delivery of resources.

Key responsibilities

• Perform resource workload analysis and recommend process optimisation.
• Establish relationships with internal stakeholders and vendors, acting as first point of escalation.
• Source, purchase and borrow assigned items in line with procurement policy and authorise purchase orders within financial limits.
• Monitor supply‑chain KPIs such as overdue orders, backlogs and vendor performance, and implement corrective actions.
• Lead price and lead‑time reviews with the Contracts Management Unit and challenge vendor variances.
• Coordinate invoice clearance and store discrepancy resolution to avoid backlogs and credit holds.
• Analyse material spend, compare contracted vs non‑contracted purchases and flag adverse trends.
• Provide recommendations for new systems or process improvements to optimise supply‑chain efficiency.
• Oversee BFE and major retrofit ordering, manage budget approvals and ensure delivery aligned with On‑Dock Dates.
• Lead the section’s day‑to‑day operations, manage staff performance and develop the team.

Required profile

• More than 5 years of relevant experience.
• Degree or Honours (or equivalent A‑level education with additional experience).
• Supply‑chain experience, preferably in aviation (warehouse, logistics, material planning, inventory control, technical purchasing).
• At least 3 years of leadership or supervisory experience.
• Thorough knowledge of inventory systems, forecasting models and purchasing principles.
• Familiarity with aircraft systems, maintenance philosophies and related quality interfaces.
