Logistics Officer

About the role

We are seeking a Logistics Officer to join our highly qualified Supply Chain team on a newly awarded project in the UAE. The role supports end‑to‑end logistics operations, ensuring smooth shipment handling from origin to project site.

Key responsibilities

• Obtain quotations from freight forwarders, transporters and customs brokers and manage shipment documentation.
• Liaise with sites, suppliers, freight forwarders and carriers to coordinate collection, delivery and traceability of materials.
• Organise and control delivery of equipment and parts using the most efficient transport mode (land, sea or air).
• Administer customs forms, exemptions and other statutory documents to meet audit and legal requirements.
• Review logistics performance, identify gaps and implement continuous‑improvement measures.
• Provide cost estimates and recommendations for logistics expenses.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or relevant diploma in Supply Chain Management or Logistics.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in freight forwarding or project cargo logistics.
• Strong knowledge of customs rules and regulations, especially for Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
