Maintenance Technician (MEP)

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Technician to join our facilities team at Al Jawaher Reception and Convention Centre in Sharjah. The role is full‑time, on‑site and focuses on maintaining the centre’s electrical, plumbing, HVAC and lighting systems to ensure uninterrupted service for all events.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) systems.
• Carry out daily inspections, identify faults and resolve issues promptly.
• Follow preventive‑maintenance schedules (PPM) and complete work orders within agreed timelines.
• Maintain site cleanliness, safety standards and compliance with SOPs.
• Support subcontractors, verify their work and ensure adherence to safety procedures.
• Identify required spare parts, manage tools and keep work areas organized.

Required profile

• High school diploma.
• Trade certificate in Electrical, Air‑Conditioning or Plumbing.
• Basic knowledge of MEP systems and maintenance practices.
• Ability to read and interpret basic technical drawings.
• Good problem‑solving attitude and teamwork skills.
