Manager KYC Review and Approval - FIG

About the role

The Manager, KYC Review and Approval – FIG will lead the centralized onboarding and periodic review function for financial institution clients. This role ensures that all client documentation complies with internal policies, UAE AML regulations, and international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the end‑to‑end approval process for new client onboarding, trigger events, and periodic reviews.
• Coordinate with coverage bankers, KYC operations, compliance, and offshore support to meet agreed onboarding timelines.
• Review account opening forms and Swift messages (MT199, MT299) for new business.
• Conduct independent risk analysis of high‑risk factors and escalate cases to Financial Crime Compliance when required.
• Maintain consistent communication with internal and external stakeholders to ensure cases follow approved channels.
• Oversee questionnaire reviews such as Wolfsberg, AML and sanctions questionnaires.
• Develop and sustain relationships with corporate and investment banking stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven experience in KYC/AML for funds, brokers, money‑services businesses, non‑banking financial institutions and correspondent banks.
• Strong knowledge of UAE and international anti‑money‑laundering regulations.
• Ability to analyse high‑risk indicators and prioritize workload in partnership with local business units.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
