Manager, Research Systems

About the role

The Manager, Research Systems will lead data management and system integration for Khalifa University's research division, ensuring accurate, secure, and compliant handling of sponsored project information.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to departmental strategy, KPI planning, policy development, and budgeting aligned with university research objectives.
• Analyze, prepare, and organize data across the R&D division for proposals, awards, ethics applications, researcher effort, and resources.
• Serve as the data‑management liaison, manage research systems, and coordinate with vendors for change orders and integrations.
• Facilitate institutional data feeds, represent the research division on technology committees, and ensure data integrity and completeness.
• Support internal and external audits, develop training modules, and manage institutional logins for sponsor portals.
• Provide coaching, performance appraisals, and administrative support to team members.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Finance, Management or a related field, with experience in a research‑funding environment.
• At least 3 years of experience with software creation, enhancement, maintenance, data organization, and interpretation.
