Managing Director – Middle East Origination

About the role

Blackstone is seeking a Managing Director to lead its Middle East Origination activities. Based in Abu Dhabi, the role will drive origination of investment opportunities across real estate, private equity, credit, infrastructure and other alternative asset classes.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate and originate new investment opportunities in the Middle East region.
• Build and maintain relationships with institutional and individual investors, partners and advisors.
• Lead negotiations, structuring and execution of transactions, ensuring alignment with Blackstone’s investment criteria.
• Collaborate with internal investment teams to develop financing solutions and investment theses.
• Represent Blackstone at client meetings, industry events and marketing initiatives.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in origination or business development within alternative asset management.
• Proven track record of sourcing and closing large‑scale transactions.
• Strong understanding of the Middle East investment landscape and regulatory environment.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of alternative investment products and market dynamics.
• Ability to assess financial models and perform due‑diligence.
• Experience with securities licensing requirements where applicable.
