Marine Manager – Maritime Solutions (Dubai)

About the role

The Marine Manager will be based at the Jebel Ali Operations facility and report to the General Manager of the UAE Ports Business Unit. This senior position oversees the day‑to‑day and long‑term operational and technical management of Maritime Solutions’ tugs, pilot boats and mooring departments across the UAE.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure fleet vessels are fit for purpose, operational, and compliant with contractual and customer requirements.
• Manage Mooring, Pilot Boats and Tugs departments, optimizing asset utilisation and crew efficiency.
• Oversee vessel docking, builds, modifications, conversions and dry‑dock programmes.
• Maintain survey, certification, insurance and regulatory compliance.
• Develop and maintain operational procedures, incident reporting and client liaison.
• Collaborate with the Technical team to maximise asset uptime, control maintenance quality and manage budgets.
• Provide technical input for new projects, tenders and contract renewals, presenting cost estimates for approval.

Required profile

• Proven experience in marine operations and technical management of vessels.
• Strong leadership skills to manage diverse teams and client relationships.
• Ability to develop and implement vessel programmes that drive efficiency.
• Knowledge of maritime regulations, certification processes and insurance requirements.
• Experience in budgeting, cost control and project delivery within a maritime environment.
